HOW WE STARTED

A question we kept running into.

GreenProof started with a question we kept running into from different angles: on the grid side, in software, and out in the field with solar and wind hardware. Why does proving a kilowatt-hour was genuinely green still take weeks of manual paperwork, when the data to prove it exists on the device the moment the energy is made?

We founded GreenProof to close that gap. Sreehari brought the systems and blockchain side, Arbite brought years on the ground with solar hardware, and Febin brought the software and grid expertise to tie it together. Between us, we'd each seen a piece of the same problem so we built the company to fix all of it at once.

Today GreenProof is a small, early-stage team based on that same premise: attach verification to the hardware itself, and compliance stops being a six-week chase and becomes a byproduct of generating the energy.

THE PROBLEM WE SAW

Certification is stuck in the paper era.

Proving clean energy today means slow manual audits and certificates that are easy to fake. Real producers wait weeks to get paid, and buyers can't always tell genuine green power from greenwashing.

Mandatory EU reporting scope narrowed significantly after the CSRD Omnibus revision (Feb 2026) it now applies to a few thousand large EU companies rather than the tens of thousands originally expected. We think that's the more honest number to build against, alongside voluntary ESG reporting and non-EU mandates like California's SB 253, which don't depend on CSRD's scope at all.

WHY IT MATTERS

Compliance shouldn't be a liability.

A renewable energy certificate is supposed to prove a kilowatt-hour was actually green. Today that proof is slow and easy to fake so honest producers wait weeks to get paid, and buyers can't always tell real compliance from greenwashing.

GreenProof reads energy data straight from the hardware that makes it inverters, meters, sensors and cross-verifies it on the spot. The certificate is attested at the source, not reconstructed from a spreadsheet weeks later. EU reporting rules are tightening faster than the tools to prove compliance against them, and we started this company to close that gap before the fines do.

We're a young company and we'd rather be upfront about that. Here's where things genuinely stand today.

VALIDATED

We presented GreenProof at the BRYCK Summit 2026, where the approach was validated by industry reviewers and received our first Expression of Interest from a prospective pilot partner.

IN PROGRESS

We're in ecosystem discussions with E.ON One GmbH, alongside building out our MVP and validating our approach to IP.

NEXT

Closing our first pilot users and finishing the MVP build.

THEN

Shipping the multi-signal verification engine and issuing our first blockchain-attested certificate to a live pilot site.
